- LNER First Class Journey Review from Horsforth (Leeds) to London King’s Cross Station – January 2024 LNER First Class Journey Review from Horsforth (Leeds) to London King’s Cross Station – January 2024: https://youtu.be/id42e7eezbk . Hey folks, in this film, I’ll be reviewing a LNER first class train journey that I took from Horsforth in Leeds to London King’s Cross railway station. The journey began with an early walk to Horsforth railway station in order to get the 07:56 departure from Horsforth to Leeds. At Leeds I leave the train and head down the platform, through the barriers and onto the concourse, where I go into the LNER First Class Lounge. I film within the very quiet lounge and highlight its features. I have 45 minutes in the lounge before heading back to the platform to get my train to London, which was the 09:07 arrival from Bradford Forster Square to London. My seat was in First Class coach D, it was seat 26, which was a forward facing single airline style seat with a table. It was an adjustable reclining seat with a USB socket and a three pin power socket. The table was easily large enough for a laptop. The train was a LNER Azuma and departed on time at 09:15, before calling at Wakefield Westgate, Doncaster, Grantham, Stevenage and arriving 4 minutes early at 11:26 at London King’s Cross. The catering in first class was included in the ticket price and the film highlights the breakfast menu items. I had a bottle of Harrogate Spring Water, an apple juice, fritatta with posh baked beans, and a cup of tea. The film also highlights the accessible first class toilet on the LNER Azuma. Within the film, besides the railway stations that the train stopped at en-route to London, the following other locations and features were identified: Burley Road, Kirkstall Road, River Aire, Leeds Liverpool Canal, Leeds Whitehall, Elland Road Stadium (Leeds United A.F.C.), Wakefield, the River Don, the A19 road bridge, Nottinghamshire countryside, A1 Pits (fishing ponds) at South Muskham, the River Trent, the Nottingham to Lincoln railway line, Newark Northgate railway station, Lincolnshire countryside, Grantham, GB Railfreight Terminal at Peterborough, Westwood Bridge, Spital Bridge, Peterborough railway station, Crescent Bridge, Peterborough, the River Nene, Cambridgeshire countryside, Huntingdon railway station, Cotton Wind Farm, Stevenage, Finsbury Park railway station, Emirates Stadium (Arsenal F.C.), North London and views around London Kings Cross railway station.
