    I went here in 1959/60 and stood just there. There was graffiti carved into the stone ledge: ‘Helen Shapiro.’ I wonder if she did it, or, more likely a fan?? It was the year of her hit: Walking Back to Happiness. My grand-father bought me a little Dragon brooch as a souvenir and I had it for 35 years and some horrible thief stole my jewelry box from my window ledge in Headingley, Leeds, and so, although it was not valuable, it was my memory of my time with him. He died that year. Anyway, still have fond memories of the Drachenfels! Must get a little dragon brooch some time…
